Decided to try to completely renovate bathroom with 3 weeks to go! First day (Sat) husband knocked the previous tiles off the wall, resulted in overnight flooding of front room (we'll need ceiling painted), and complete saturation of landing carpet (now need new carpet), the dump refused to take tiles.

Tiles have been shifted, got new flooring for bathroom, plasterer is finished, plumbers caused another two floods...one in hall, one in living room.

'The house smells damp and dusty between ceilings and carpet!

Now waiting on tiler and bathroom suite arriving (Sat and Mon)...and I started having sore back and front contractions yesterday...eased off last night.

I have SPD so couldn't wait until baby arrived but now Id like it to wait a week or so.

What on earth possessed me?!!!

Oh goodness! I can't believe you decided to take on such a big project at 37 weeks. And cant believe what bad luck you've had with it!!!!

I tried painting our sons bedroom at 36 weeks and decided it was too much hard work! No way I could have coped with a bathroom refit!!

Omg I've just hoovered the house and found that a mission at 37 weeks! Lol!! We planned a bathroom renovation before baby but just haven't got round to it so will have to wait till next year now, hope you're sorted soon!! X

I always seem to do things like this in pregnancy! My last pregnancy we moved house the day I went into labour. We had been waiting for the keys for months for a first mortgage and only got them the day before Micah was born! We stayed in for a week so I came home to a very new and fully packed away house which was nice but I was sad I missed out on putting all the nursery furniture together etc.

This time round I've had our extension knocked down and rebuilt and I'm currently in the middle of decorating our bedroom. I mean we've had to replaster and everything! Thankfully not much left to do but seriously cutting it fine haha. I swear it's part of my nesting instinct to do something crazy! lol. Hope it gets sorted for you soon!

We've had to re-do every room in our house after the last year, including structural work. It's been really hard. We've mostly just got decorating left, painting and wallpapering but I've still spent a few nights this week/last week sandpapering walls and window cills. It never ends! Got to be done though so I'm just trying to get on with it, I wish we could afford to pay someone to do it for us.

Our house is being renovated & it's still half a building site & we haven't moved back in. I'm due tomorrow and sharing with the in laws in a 2 bed bungalow...I've spent maternity leave hoovering endless amounts of dust!

I don't know what possessed us either! Hope you get it sorted soon :) xx
