Hi girls,

I am feeling so rough today. Yesterday afternoon, I started having diarrhoea and have had it ever since (I actually initially thought it was the start of morning sickness). I was up 3 times in the middle of the night with it as well. I havea splitting headache, which is probably from dehydration, even though I am drinking lots and lots of water. I cant believe it.. I really hope its not harmful for the baby. I have been so good, eating a ton of nutritious food, and now for the past two days, none of that nutrition will have even been absorbed!

Anyone got any suggestions.... my stomach is in bits, and I feel so ill.

Thanks. xxx

It's always the bowels!! I have piles, you have diarrhoea :wall:

I don't know what to suggest for it, but if you go to the GP, I'm sure they can prescribe rehydration salts and isotonic drinks to replace lost minerals if you are worried.

Hope it goes soon hun xx

Drink lots of fluid and rest   Hope you feel better soon x

You poor thing  I have suffered from that before and I found that plain boiled rice helped get something inside me. You need to rest as much as possible and sip water.

Actually, I just looked it up in my pregnancy book as I thought I had seen something on Gastroenteritis and it says that it is unlikely to affect your baby and stick to bland foods that are easy to digest, if symptoms fail to settle after 48 hours or you get severe abdominal pain, blood in stools or high fever then seek medical attention.

I hope you feel better soon

Poor you! Hope you feel better soon

If it persists maybe it's worth to contact your doctor or let your mw know

Get well soon

I am still ill... and at the end of my tether... tomorrow will be my 4th day of this... :( :( :( :( :(

OK, I think I am getting better... I only had to get up once last night and this morning, I feel so much better. Phew... hope this is it now.

I have read that severe diarrhoea can sometimes cause miscarriage. But I guess it would be obvious if LO had been affected, right?
