Also ISH, how on earth did you shade those pictures?! I've only just really dabbled with a little bit of shading, I wanted to make some life-like images like yours.

I have sketching pencils, all different sizes but I just don't have a clue Any tips?

You will need inordinate amounts of time and layers upon layers of shading

im blown away by the level of realism you can achieve lol, i'll stick to the anime as its a lot easier and i loooove it. i have anime tatts on my upper arms and i kinda moved into tattooing a bit as well as drawing tho im really bad at portraits and people lol. wont be tattooing portraits ever if i can help it.

I am really interested in tattoos - just on an aesthetic level, don't have any and certainly don't intend to start tattooing, I'd be petrified at making mistakes. But it would seem portraits are very difficult to do, I've only seen a handful done really well.

I can only find a few I have done better - skin is ALLOT different to work on than pen and paper and you can't rub out lol xx

You are brave! I fret about a drawing so much, I would probably faint if I had to do it on a person's skin.
