Cramping

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else had simialar.

Yesterday i had some quite strong period type pains which lasted for about 20 minutes had them twice, i know we might get crampng but has anyone had similar? I read stuff on the net and on one hand think its normal and on the other read other stuff! (need to stop doing that I know) I am 5 + 3. Today feel fine apart from usual morning sickness!

I keep having them, too. I'm 7 weeks today and last night I was in quite strong pain with them, it felt like a bad period... but then they went after about an hour or so.. I do think it's normal, cos if you think about it period pains are your uterus contracting as the lining comes away, and when we're pregnant the uterus is stretching as it fills up with a baby... so it's bound to hurt in a very similar way, right?

Try a hot water bottle/having your OH rub your back and just relax about them if you can't cos I think tensing up makes it worse sometimes

I haven't had cramps for so many minutes, but I've had cramps. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about! And about the internett, I too need to stop reading. There's so many scary stories around!

I have been having loads of very very bad cramps too going to doc tmrw so going to ask but from google i think its ok, will update tmrw if im told any different, i was close to tears mine were so bad

I had more today and had to leave work early, I rung the doctor and she said as long as they are not too painfull and no blood its normal as the womb is growing. So good to hear that she says if they worsten then to go in and get checked up. Ive never had period pains really so dont know what bad ones feel like but these feel bad and are making me feel sorry for myself and think makes me worried about my little bean that somethings wrong so sort of feel reassured now after speaking to the doctor!

You haven't had bad until you're doubled over in agony, can't move and are also throwing up from the pain! So unless you're pains are effecting you like this and you are bleeding as well then don't worry.
