I have stopped feeding Oliver mummy milk during the day. I have to give him formula as he wont take cow milk. How can I get him to drink cow milk?

i started Braydon at 12 months and he went on it fine, but then he started being a sick and we thought it may have been the milk so we stopped giving it to him but it turned out not to be
we started trying him again a month ago and he just would not touch it but i kept trying him everyday after 1.5 weeks was on it totally just keep trying hun

I'm having the same problem, Emma will drink water with no problem but will only have a few sips of cows milk, (she won't go anywhere near formula and never has done  )
She seems to like taking drinks that I have so I have started drinking milk in front of her and she is bit more interested now. I think the only thing to do is to keep trying trying trying......

When i put my oldest onto cows milk, i used to add a little bit of strawberry milkshake, i asked the HV if it was ok and she said yes!!!

Maybe you could try mixing it with some formula to see if that helps? With Aimee i just switched one bottle a day so she would mainly have formula but have 1 bottle of cows milk a day and that worked for us.

Hiya

Willow wouldn't take it in her bottle until about 18 months she only had one in the morning and one at night but had to be formula then we went away to my mil and ran out of it and gave her cows milk instead and she just drank it no fuss or anything i think that maybe she thought it just tasted different because she was in a new place and when we got home we just carried on giving it to her

I mixed cows milk with formula for Brody for a while and now he'll drink either.

i did the same with Ryan he wouldnt take the milk any other way, this worked a treat and you only need a tiny bit to take the edge off the taste :) my Hv also said this was fine to do :)

Eloise doesn't have formula anymore (she was breastfed until 6 months, but then I dried up    I hate that phrase!) - she has whole cows milk in a cup - although she will drink anything (seriously - you can't leave a beer can lying around if we have friends round or it will be drank!!)

both my girls refused milk of any kind from about nine months. When I introduced cows milk I had to flavour it. Banana or strawberry smoothies always went down well, but I had to call it 'magic Juice' because if they'd known it was milk they'd have refused!
I make sure they always get plenty of milky puddings and yoghurts, and milk on their cereal of course.

Aimèe is now a big chocolate milk fan. Not very healthy but at least she'll drink it!

yep I did that too

Kai has 2 bottles of cow's milk and 1 of formula. When I first started him on it about a week before he was 1, he was fine. Then we went away to England about a month later he was on cow's milk he was pooing 4 times a day, so I put him onto formula for the few weeks we were away. Since coming back home, he hasn't been well but he just hasn't taken to the milk like he did when he first had it.

when i changed kacy over to cow milk to make her take it i shaked the bottle in front of her so she through it was forumal, did that for a couple of weeks now she is fine taking it
