I gave my son cous cous from 6 months, i used Ainsley Harriots roasted veg flavour. He didnt like the texture at first so I mixed a tiny bit of fruit through it hoping he would get used to the texture and when he did I just gave him the cous cous alone, he loves it now!
Quick to make when you have a screaming child!! I noticed in Asda the other day you get little packets to make up in a cup like cup a soup

leah was given this at nursery - i couldnt beileve that they were giving her things like that - i dont mind but it would never of crossed my mind she could of had it.

I dont see why not, its just veg (usually) and a rice (not the usual along with your curry kind though)...made with water

I was amazed when they gave Naomi some at her creche at around 7 months or so. Apparently she loved it! She's not had any since though, I'd never seen it around here.
