i watched GMTV this morning and some guy on lorraine kellys bit was going on about how u can save money if ur house is in the wrong band. i had a look
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bi ... 8232,#band
and although our house IS in the same band as our neighbours, when i used the calculator to work out the value in 1991 it was in the lower band than we're in. it says on the site that the most important thing is if u match with ur neighbours. has anyone done this and do u think i should pursue this even though we match our neighbours?

 It's telling me they have a high volume of users just now and to try back....typical  I have a feeling were in the right band though, my hubby's hot on things like 'saving money' he'd know in a second!! :rotfl:

We rent, but I checked mine the other day and it was the same band as our neighbours :(

I'd be to scared about pursing it if I thought our band was wrong as knowing our council they would put us into an even higher band or something...
