I have a fixed rate mortgage with Northern Rock which ends in December at which point I will be at the mercy of their standard variable rate. There is a petition for this rate to fall in line with the Bank of England as it is now a state owned bank and I would love if this happened. I would be grateful if you could sign the petition. Even if you are not with Northern Rock, if one bank does it others may follow so it may mean you pay less in the future too!
