cough medicines after the recall?

My lady has got a really bad cough, and shes very snotty, and i suspect a sore throat as she coughs and then cries


wel, after the recall of most cough medicines, what can i actually give her????

I found vicks honey cough medicine very good, it really helped my son when he had a bad cough - i dont really rate the other medicines at the moment as they dont seem to work.

I would still give buttercup syrup. I have always used it for myself and the kids and shall continue to do so.

just go to your local chemist hun....only reason they are banned is cos of incorrect guidelines on the packs....the pharmacist *should* give you the correct guidlines and which ones are ok now cos they arent all banned.
