hello,

Ella is 6 days old today and her cord has just dropped off - is it normal for it to look very sore and weepy and also be a bit smelly?

I called the midwife and she said its normal but id just like to hear it from other mums x

my LOs was also weepy but not sure about smelly. if LO is still so young will HV or widwife be seeing you in the next day or so? if so they can have a little look then?

Tegan's was weepy when it fell off but not smelly, id get the midwife or hv just to check to put your mind at ease xx

It shouldn't be smelly...wet and weepy is ok though.

Kynons was a bit smelly and weepy and midwife just told me to keep cleaning it, the smell went as soon as we gave it a really good clean. I was worried too!
