confused by weeks???

If i am 11 weeks and 3 days... am i in the 11th week, or the 12th week?

some books say 12, some say 11?

what does the hospital and docs class as 11 weeks?

Ur in ur 12th week of pregnancy but are 11+ weeks pregnant-docs and mw's would usually go with the actual weeks ie 11 xxx

I went with the week before not ahead if you get me. DOctors and hospital go with the week your at I was induced when I was 38 weeks on the dot so yeah up to you hunny...

I would say u are in ur 12th week of pregnancy. I would think of it as, imagine they counted ur pregnancy from day 1 and a doc said ur 4 days pregnant: well ur not quite a week but ur in ur first week.

OMG was just having the same convo with DH!! We worked it out as I am 5 weeks and 1 day so I am in my 6th week!!
