Someone mentioned to me the other week that if you are a parent and are under 21 and want to go back to college then the government pay you're childcare costs for any nursery? Apparently my friend who works with me, she is bringing her little un to our nursery £56 a day and she is going back to college and the government are going to pay for the nursery fee's. Is this too good to be true? I cant seem to find anything about it online?

thanks

It all depends what sortof benifits you are on. When I was in college you could also get a grant for up to 1,000 that you dont have to pay back  I couldnt get it because I hadnt lived on my own for long enough, but the other girls in my course got it. Lucky gits. We could also get help with petrol costs or they pay for a pass so you can get public transport to and from college (I used it when getting the bus into town because its unlimited travel - hehe) You can also get food vouchers to use in the college cantinee (sp?) so your foods free aswell.

It helped me so much when I went to college to do hairdressing when Zack was younger. My mum looked after him while I was in college, but some of the girls I went with put their kids in childcare and got it all paid for. Its worth looking into.
