I have been doing Spanish classes for a few years and had just started my level 2 (3rd year) when I found out I was pregnant.

I had to quit the course at Xmas as had IUI which was stressful then awful morning sickness and constant bleeding. Couldn't keep up with it so made the decision to quit.

Anyway, I can do a refresher course which starts 30th May for 6 weeks and can then go straight onto level 2 in Sept but it's going to be 3 weeks after due date and was wondering if I would find this a bit of a struggle. It's only 2 hours a week in the classroom but there is quite a bit of homework.

From your experience I want to know if I would find it struggle.

I would say it will be a struggle, if you go overdue your baby might only be a week old when you start. Personally I couldnt but everyone is different I suppose :)

if u go 2 weeks over i would think it may be a lil struggle , if u hvae to have a c section that prob impossible as i would think u'd be uncomfy .

if lil one comes on time or early and natural with no real issues but a bit of discomfort i would think you'd be fine , i was out and about shopping when leland was a week old and we spent the first week in hossy anyway !

It all depends on when and how baby is born i think, if you are early or on time and you have a natural birth with no major tears or anything then id say it was possible although u may find you struggle whilst you get into a routine with it.

If baby is overdue or you have a section then id say it'd be practically impossible.

At the end of the day the decision is yours and you are the best person to judge at the time whether you think you will cope or not.

Good luck hunni.

Personally I wouldn't feel it a struggle, If it's only 2hrs a week that really isn't much and also with the homework, your baby will sleep alot of the time at first, although you should rest when you're baby does I never could so thats why I think if it were me I'd be ok.

Me personally I would be far too shattered to even entertain having company round the house let alone homework. If it were a couple of hours without homework I'd say go for it but I know in the early days theres no way I would have got anything done at home with the newborn, esp if you are planning to breastfeed.

Thanks girls.

Spoke to my DH about it last night and have decided to wait and see how I feel. I won't need to enrol until a week before so really going to play it ear.
