the Lily of the Valley

So we don't as yet know what we are having (find out 1 week today), but on discussing names we have had a few on our list.

We liked for girls.....

Abbie
Lillie
Dallas

& for boys..

Leo
Lyle

My friend bought me a pregnancy journal the other day and when I was reading through it and It told you what your birth sign, stone & flower was. I didn't even know about the flowers, so as our little one will be born in May (due 11th) it will either be Taurus or Gemini (I am Gemini, born 24th May - was due the 12th)

Anyway to get to the point! The birth flower for May is "Lily of the Valley" we both looked at each other and said we should defo call it that if she is a girl. So I think that has made our mind up on the girl name. Although we do want to spell it "Lillie"

Did anyone else know about the birth flower? xox

Ooooo, I'm gonna look up birth flowers now. I love the name Lillie for a girl. Can't have it though as my step daughters name is Lydia and gets called Lydie. Way too similar

Awww that is a great reason to name her Lillie! I have Lilly on my short list for middle names. I love it but feel it's a little too popular in our area (we live in a small place!) for a first name.

I didn't know about birth flowers - off to look them up now!
