So, my lil girly is just four days old. Pretty much all she does is sleep.

During the day.

She feeds around 6/7am, then doesn't want feeding again for four-five hours, and again after that.

Night time is a whole other story.
Every 1.5-2 hours she wants fed again.

She's still brand new, and I'm not bothered about routine or anything for now, just I've heard of like, day-and-night confusion, various things about switching days and nights... Anyone know how I can get her to flip the two? Or is this just a "baby will do what she wants" thing? Xx

We kept all the curtains open during the day as this helps them get vit D and gets them used to day being light and night being dark. We also didn't keep household noises like the washer etc down and wed walk around like normal and tiptoe at night.

My lo has fed on average every two hours since birth but sleeps all night bar having sleep feeds.

Hi Hun, at this stage I think milk is at its most plentiful at night time so that's another reason they get their days and nights confused. It does eventually settle though I found both of my girls seemed to grasp day and night at around 6/7 weeks. But they never went 5 hours without feeds so I reckon your lil girly will probably get it quicker than they did. With my second I found co-sleeping a god send and life saver and it helped her establish the difference between night and day. However I did create a rod for my own back as we co slept until a week ago (7 months) when she suddenly started sleeping through 7-7 in her cot!xx
