CHIP BUTTIES

If u go into chippy u ask for a CHIP MUFFIN :lol: ive had this arguement soooo many times!

if u go in chippies round here, on the wall it says "chip t-cake with curry £1.20" :wink:

and in the bakery!!! ask pilkers she probably has t-cakes too!!
 
I voted for butty as I would prob use this is people didnt understand the colloquialism we use which is chip cob
 
I'm a southerner and I call it a chip buttie.
We were never allowed them as kids though :( not sure why!
 
It's a buttie to me too.
It's strange though my mate moved down to Bradford and asked for Bread Buns and got Teacakes (Tea Cakes to us are bread buns with raisins in) and when she asked for teacakes she got bread buns. :think: :think:
 
Im a northerner and its a buttie, i've never heard anyone called it a muffin before!
