any advise on what i could do to help my poor baby every time she goes to bed she just has coughing fits really flemy sorry but just dont know what to do with her xx

Try not to lay her down flat, it's harder for her to breathe and makes a baby cough.

See if you can place something under her mattress to sit it up a little, this may help her.

Tom has exactly the same thing at the moment.

Best things to do are to raise the end of the cot a bit so it's at an angle and to try and keep the air moist in her room. You could hang a wet towel over the radiator or put a bowl of water underneath it.

I think I'm going to get a humidifier to keep for when he gets a cold/cough again as it's the easiest way of keeping the air right.

Also, keep her fluids up as much as you can.

Hope she is better soon. I can't wait for Tom to get over this cough so we can all start getting some  again!

Finn has too! I bought him some snuffle babe to see if that will help & I've got some Nasosal drops for his blocked tubes. My poor little boy sounds like he's got a sore throat and when he coughs it's like it hurts him. I've given him Calpol but have sent his dad down to the chemist to see if he can get him some cough medicine.

I just got some Calcough today and have given him a dose of that this evening. We both need some sleep tonight and that horrible cough keeps waking him. :(

I went to the pharmacist and he said that Calpol was the best thing - not even to use Tixylix - also also that Karvol shouldn't really be used until they're a year old.
