Chemicals In Bottles

Yeah, I've been researching this recently.

I'd like to switch to BPA-free bottles. Can anyone recommend a good make? And do you know where I can buy them?

I think it's appaling they can print this 'could possibly' stuff, its not fact, and it causes such upset and concern in parents  This news has also come out at the same time they're doing a big breastfeeding hype too, I just feel so sad about it, I think more facts and research, and making ALL baby products 'chemical free' to start with, would do better than to take already trusted baby bottles off shelves :?

 I'm not switching, if it was a real threat to babies they would re-call or take affected bottles off the shelf. I use Tommee Tippee CTN bottles and I'm sure they're fine.

they said babes would have to use the bottles at least 4 times more then normal for it to be any worry anyway

Agree. I think a lot of this stuff has an agenda behind it.

It's impossible to make all baby products 'chemical free'. That's such a blanket statement. There are chemicals everywhere.

It hasn't been proven that BPA at the levels in normal bottles will harm your baby. But BPA bottles do leach BPA when sterilised or scratched. I'd rather Ash didn't ingest any of it if I can help it.

The BPA-free bottles are a bit more expensive than normal ones, but not too bad. Every type of plastic contains 'chemicals', that's what plastic is, a chemical, or many chemicals really.

I'm using Avent bottles at the moment and have been since Ash turned 6 months, so I do'nt think BPA is that bad otherwise I wouldn't be letting him feed from them.

I'm just considering swapping in the future.
