I really need to cheer up!

I am soooo miserable today because my friend wants me to go for lunch round HER friend's house (who I hardly even know!!)

I just can't be arsed to sit there and listen to how well their babies are sitting up and keeping food down and weaning - raaaahhh!! LOL I am still Dannii! You know, the one who used to be fun and go partying and drink lots! I'll soon be that person again just with another slant to my life - being a Mum! I know I'm about to become a Mum but I've always disliked it when women force their children as topic of conversation onto you. Like "let's talk about my baby" and ones who's lives absolutely revolve around babies and nothing else! I get messages on FB from my friend who's little boy is teething, each time she writes on my wall she tells me he's got another tooth - :talkhand:

Wow - How miserable am I today?!

I'm so moody! All because I don't want to go for lunch :rotfl:

I put them off yesterday but they just said they'd rearrange it (I was hoping I'd missed lunch with them lol). My friend said she'd text me to let me know what time her friend is ready as she had a cleaning job this morning - Haven't heard anything, I really hope she says we can't do today!! xx

Aw babe when you have your little one you will want to tell the world every little thing about her!!!
Youll understand then!!

An after a while, after youve had her, when your ready, get a babysitter and go shake ur sexy ass on the dancefloor once more

  xxx

If you really don't want to go hun say you're having baby pains and you don't feel too good. I'm always hurting so use this as an excuse for loads of things I don't really wanna do. Your full term now hun, baby can arrive anytime!

Well, I put them off yesterday because I had diarrhoea so I don't think they'd accept another excuse lol! I am sooo praying they say today is off!!

Yeah Sarah, I know, I hope I don't go to the extremes they do though! & I do understand lol but - I find it REEEEEALLY annoying if the conversation goes on for aaaages and with them, it always does!! I just want a day where babies are not the topic of conversation!! I get bored myself if people ask loads about Evie and what she's up to etc... I think "argh let's just talk about something else! Like BB or something!!" lol

Haha!! I need to cheer up baaaadly before I go for lunch!! :wall:   xx

aww I understand how you feel. When you become pregnant people seem to see you more as an incubator and exhibition than an actual person! Maybe tell them you haven't been feeling too good and need to rest as much as possible before the birth because your really tired and need to save your energy

aww hun they're probably only trying to involve you so you have other Mummy friends to talk to when Evie comes I totally understand what you mean about people that only go on and on about their babies but you wait til we have our little ones and are so proud and in love with them we'll probably all become baby bores too! Try and cheer up and have a good time you might be glad of other Mummy friends when Evies here!

I'm the same, can't be arsed going anywhere at the minute. People seem to ask the same
questions, although I know their just being polite and i'm probably just being rude.
It's harder with new people, questions like 'do you know what your having?', 'when are you due?'
etc etc bore me now! I'd make an excuse, although at this stage people should just understand that you just
can't be bothered! xx

Well, she cancelled on me! :cheer:

BUT

It's been postponed for next week :(

Thing is, they don't ask questions, they feed me loads about birth, how they were stitched, where they were stitched, how long they were in for, how far overdue they went blah blah! THEN, the conversation moves to their LOs. No "normal" chat or anything!

Ho hum! Evie won't be arriving by the time the lunch happens next week so looks like I'll have to endure it anyway!

LOL Claire I know!! I feel like walking around with a little recorder which plays "it's a girl, due on 22nd August, yes I'm hot in this weather, yes I'm making the most of my maternity leave, yes I have everything sorted ready for her to arrive".

I was in the doc surgery once a few weeks ago and someone (I think this is rude...!) but anyway, she asked WHY I was there  It could be something reeeeeally personal!... I just said "I think I might be pregnant" patted my bump and smiled! She laughed and left it there! x

Aww bless you Dannii, I remember feeling exactly how you do in the last few weeks before Sam arrived. I hated everybody, didn't want to go anywhere and was fed up with people giving me their gory labour stories.

In the end i only just made it to hospital had no pain relief and Sam was born 6 minutes after I arrived there.

Now i'm one of the annoying people who tells everybody about labour talks about nothing else but babies :D

Also, are you sure your dicky tummy is not a clear out

Yeah that is exactly like me Emma! Every time my Mum gets home and my step Dad wakes up I get the full interrigation - "How you feeling?" "Any more BH?" "Have you been on your ball?" Argh!!

The diarrhoea has gone now, haven't lost my plug, same amount of BH etc so I don't think it meant anything! I still honestly believe she'll be really late! xxx

Oooh I am so with you on the irritability thing - I swear I am fed up of talking about being pregnant and all things to do with babies already. I just want to talk about normal stuff!

Also today a stupid man parked in a parking spot big enough for two cars right in front of me, which meant I had to park on double yellows as I ran to the bank. I then had to use the hole in the wall quickly and the same stupid man jumped in front of me in the queue

Dannii I would come down with something next week on the day of the lunch  Spend these last Evie-free weeks doing only what you want to do hun

im sorry im gonna sound horrible here..but you will be like them talking about your baby non stop once she is here! you will even smell your daughters bum in public, flash your boobs and talk about poo...sorry dannii
