Awww Rach thanks for asking - I'm fine - come to the conclusion I am just going to worry myself through the first tri of this pregnancy - I cant believe we have got this far :D My symptoms seem to be coming and going - feel really hungry but also sick every morning around 5.30 am so find myself making toast and then going back to bed :D My boobs are still sore by the end of the day and there is absolutely no way I can hide my tummy although I can still do up most of my clothes, I bumped into a girl I hadnt seen since christmas on Friday and the first thing she asked me was when I was due!!! and I thought I just looked fat :D

Beginning to feel terrified too - by my scan date I will be 9 weeks on Tuesday and it has gone so quick in many ways -
Dave and I were talking last night and when I said to him that we could have a baby in 30 weeks time we both went quiet  . I dont think either of us really have thought about the end result until now as we had such a bloody awful time over the past 6 months :D

How are you honey - I can only imagine being pregnant with twins must be exhuasting.

Jane x x x x x

ooh rom just noticed we have a name for you now
 hello jane :D
awww hun you are bound to worry  symptoms will hopefully go altogether soon for you hun mine really started to go by 10/12 weeks i was same having to get up at 5ish and eat something i was so sick :puke: fruit pastilles are great to eat in bed if you cant be bothered like me  to get out of bed lol
its great when people notice your bump :D when is your next scan hun is it soon?
wow 30 weeks  when you look at it like that its quite scary it doesnt seem so far then does it
hows your daughter getting on hun is she loving the new job??? hope so are you still going out to see her?
well i look about 7 months pregnant already so god knows how big il be by time i am 7 months :rotfl: feel like i should be in third tri not 2nd lol im totally exhausted and the sick days in work are getting more regular am looking forward to a nice week off now at the end of the month :D then only 6 weeks in work after that and im done for nearly a year i cant wait :D xxxxxxxxx

mel hope you are ok too hun  keeping seats warm for you and jane in 2nd tri  xxxxxxxxxxxx

Our next scan is on the 31st July - its the nuchal scan, I have bloods taken on the Monday and then the scan on the Thursday - dreading it really, at my age our risk is already 1 in 63 for downs - I have a neice with a chromosone abnormality, although we all love her dearly my brother and sister in law are wonderful as are their 2 younger daughters but there is absolutely no doubt the work and heartache her disability causes for their family....... Charlotte was their first and my sister in law was only 20 when she had her so it just goes to show age isnt always the reason behind these things but it does make me concerned...

When will you be scanned again? I would assume they will keep a pretty close eye on you with twins? I think we miss out on our 12 week scan on the nhs as we are paying for the nuchal scan privately so I dont think I will get another then until 20 weeks as long as everything is OK.

Mel hope you have had a nice weekend - I've just eaten a huge indian takein for tea and am about to roll myself on to the sofa for a snooze... :D

Hello hunnies, you best make sure you do keep that seat safe for us Rach wont be long now, 12 days  Cant believe it its flying past, felt really ill at shopping this morning, nearly threw up so got out quick, got myself some 4head stuff, £6 bloody hell, do you think its safe to use, it says hasnt been proven to cause side effects while pg but im still not sure, what you guys think, hope your all ok

jane thats not too long to wait for your scan hun try not to worry i know its hard when you are older and the odds are upped i had the same as im going to be 35 when babies are born but because im having twins the tests are not available to me not sure why all ive been told is that the test isnt available for twin pregnancies in wales :? says the same in my screening booklets although we are still able to have the anomaly scan at 20 weeks
our next scan is on the 24th july i think when i will be about 18 weeks thats with the consultant to measure the babies growth and check the blood flow through the cords to make sure the babies are getting all they need (as jamie died due to placenta and cord being blocked with blood clots im on daily injections now to stop this from happening again  ) then we have a scan at 20 weeks (the anomaly scan) then another at about 22 weeks with consultant i think hes scanning us every 4 weeks till about 26 weeks then it will go to fortnightly then to weekly from about 32 weeks they will check blood flow 1 week then growth the following week so a really close eye on us :D xxxxxx

mel  sorry you are still being sick it will pass soon hun not sure about the 4 head stuff although i would think it would be ok xxxxxxx

Rach where in South Wales are you? I had my two in Morriston hospital, Swansea in the days before they had invented screening :D .

We are having to pay for the nuchal scan - some areas do it for free over 35 but not Shropshire. Apparently it is better this way though as we will be given our results on the night (having the bloods done a couple of days before) and you have the opportunity of really talking through the options with the consultant.

Mel I suffer from headaches and I have found the forehead stuff to be really good - havent used it since I've been pregnant though - I would just check but as it is made from natural ingredients I cannot see it being a problem.

Thanks for the kind words, wasnt actually sick but was close too, had head ache, it turned into nausia then the extreme fatgigue, then i was ok, it was madness. Thats poo thatr you dont get free tests, seems so unfair it shouldnt be like that

jane im in cwmbran about an hour drive away from swansea :D my friend was a nurse in morriston hospital until last year when she left to train as a health visitor :D i love swansea its a fab place :D here they dont do the scan but there are blood tests you can have at 14-16 weeks which apparently tell you if your high or low risk and then you can go on to have an amnio if you are high risk not sure if the scan is available if you pay for it or not i had never heard of it before coming on the forum ive always chosen not to have the blood test on all my other pregnancies as my own personal choice but this time like i said i dont have that choice xxxxxxxx
