when your dh wakes you up in the night should you temp then (as romantic as that is!!) or is it ok to just do the nasty, go back to sleep for a couple hours and temp?

sorry i havent got an answer for you but i've always wounder about that, dh often waked up around 5 fro a bit then goes abck to sleep to get up at 6.30. i dont sleep well so often havnt gone to sleep till 3 and have woken up a few tiems so dont know when to temp. ( sorry for hyjakcing your question)

don't be sorry. that's actually quite similar timescale for us (well not going t bed at 3 bit but the jiggy an hour and a half before alarm goes off bit!)

If you can get back to sleep for at least 3 hours before you have to take your temp in the morning, then wait. If you can't, take your temp then (before doing anything, obviously  )

what not during? why ever not! :rotfl:

sure he'd appreciate that! "excuse me sweetie, just put that away until i've taken my temp!" :rotfl: :rotfl:

 I honestly cannot remember the last time DH woke me up in the middle of the night and tried to get fresh. I'm kind of glad, tbh...Ah needs mah sleep!

That's why I don't bother temping cos my sleep patterns are constantly interrupted by either the dogs or my oh getting up for work so I rarely get 3 hours undisturbed.

My oh never wakes me up in the middle of the night to get jiggy with it~he's too busy snoring!! Think i'd probably tell him to get stuffed if he did!

i wish my interupted sleep was due to hubby poking me!!! i just dont sleep well so if i have not managed to get 2-3 hours i have left it blank thats why i am missing a couple of temps :wall:

I was told yesterday by my reflexology therapist that I should try using a couple drops of lavender essential oil on my pillow at night to help me sleep more soundly - think I'm gonna try it, and maybe put some on DH's pillow as well!

Sam i had the same problem until i started drinking infusions before going to bed. Chamomile and Sage infusions really help with sleep.

Melissa, i tried lavedar drops on my pillow but it did nothing for my insomnia, i still have the bottle on the bedside table, it's got a lovely aroma! Hope it works for you

Too old for all that....need my sleep! Sad isn't it?!!! :rotfl:

lol, core i remember when me and OH used to wake up most nights at exactly 2am as if some weird conection between us woke us up for some 'special' time! lol

Not anymore though...we are both so busy in the day that we usually sleep right through!
:D

Very rare but does happen sometimes if it does its a saturday night, kinda in this order! We go to pub OH gets drunk and I stay sober as I normally drive and I'm a light weight! We get home and OH goes to sleep and snores like a hog for a couple of hours and then just as I'm dropping off timed with the snoring easing, he wakes up and is all randy!!!

Timing or what!!! :?

Sometimes I think yep in the mood, lets get it on!!!

Mostly I think get the hell off me with your beer breath at 4a.m., roll over your dreaming you silly sod :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We keep a baseball bat under the bed, so I think hubby would worry that I would grab it and hit him, thinking it was an intruder! So no, we don't have any middle of the night naughties either. Sometimes in the morning at weekends tho!
