Cervical Mucus In layman's terms?!

Hi all

Sorry if anyone finds this TMI just trying to get to grips with all this ttc malarkey! Been reading up about CM and what it should look like different times of the month.

How do you ladies check? Risk of sounding silly....I had a go similar to when I used to check coil threads and then looked at fingers. Just not sure I am checking the right thing....unsure how to tell apart from discharge. Again apologies if TMI!!

Anyway I would say today was very wet but definitely a little stringy....like 3-4cm of pull. I am hoping this is a good sign as did some good baby dancing last night and tonight so fx getting the timing right! Only on cycle 2 ttc and cycle 1 was just roll with it...no effort on timings

Yes that sounds like the stuff! It's similar to egg white in appearance (probably not as thick and gloopy though) so you'll see reference to EWCM on here. I normal see it on toilet paper without need for further investigations! Good luck! x

Thanks ladies. Trying to do everything right yet not get hopes up too high as is very early days. On a positive note OH seems to have got his mojo going nicely....he really wants kids so it's making a nice change cos it's usually me with the high sex drive chasing him around lol x
