Hi,
I have just had my 31 week appointment and my baby has moved from breech to head down but midwife has written 'ceph oblique' in my notes. Has anyone else had this and if so what exactly does it mean?

Thanks

Jenny

Mine was oblique for a while, which means diagonally. I presume ceph oblique means head down but pointing towards your hip rather than cervix. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

By the time I went to my last appointment at 34 weeks baby was head down, they don't have far to turn from that position anyway. X

In my pregnancy book it says ceph means head down and oblique means diagonal x

Yeah what the others have said - head down diagonal. My baby seems to favour this position a lot until my 36 appt when they were Ceph long. So sitting head down above my pelvis.

My son was this position until 34/35 weeks I think when moved himself and his head was down and he was diagonal x
