Hi everyone

Im thinking of taking up card making to keep me busy. Does anybody know a really good forum where i can get all the info i need to get started?

Also, please can someone tell me what things that are essential to start me off?

I made all my own wedding stationery which included day invites, evening invites and order of service.

I did loads of research into card making and you can get loads of info from Hobby Craft, they do some step by step info guides on how to make cards, I found them really useful. I also bought this book
which I picked up really cheap which gave me loads of info of suppliers and the equipment needed as well as ideas. Its really practical and gives very detailed step by step guides on how to make all the cards.

The best website I found for all my card supplies was the following website http://www.craftcreations.com I found that they are the cheapest and also stock lots of things other websites dont. I would recommend ordering a catalogue as I found it much easier to sit and trawl through the pictures in the catalogue rather than looking at the website.

Good luck with your new hobby, I really enjoyed making my wedding stationery.

I also run one on Yahoo particularly suited to newer cardmakers. Its not massive like do crafts and CM&P where it can be daunting for new cardmakers but we're friendly enough

We can help with getting started, best suppliers, free downloads and printables which you can use for decoupage and tea bag folding, we have lists of essentials, tons of photos in the galleries for inspiration and we're not a shop nor do we sell anything so completely impartial, say it as we see it

BTW I'm clearing out some card making magazines if you're interested, just want P&P for them (I have a list of how much postage is for 10, 5 & 2 mags)
