Can't agree!!!

With only a couple of weeks left, me and the DH are still struggling to agree on girls names!! We are team yellow, and didn't find picking boys names too hard (looking at either Finley, Freddie or Cooper)

Girls names on the other hand....! All the way along I have said that I don't want a name that's in the top 20. Trouble is, those are the only names hubby seems to like! He has suggested Sophia, Lilly and Isabelle. All really pretty,but very common and I didn't really want our child to share a name with several others in their class. Plus I know children with all 3 of those names.

So I am looking for girls names suggestions - pretty sounding so that hubby will like them, but not in the top 20!

My suggestions have been Paige, Libby and Brianna, but hubby isn't sure.

Any suggestions welcome!! Xxx

I know what you mean. My OH liked names but they were so common in my son's class at school. I had a nose at the coat pegs at what names and it's things like Amelia, Bella, Paige.
We wanted something a bit different and not that common for our baby and so far we are thinking about Willow.

There are too many nice girls names, makes it so hard.

I check the coat pegs at preschool as well to nose at other children's names, there are 2 Isabellas, one Isabella, one Brooke, Sophia is OHs niece's name, I know too many people with all of the popular names... There is also a little girl called Bijoux but I'd never pick that, sure she'll be the only one with that name...

I like Paige, but my son is Caleb and I don't want two American sounding names! I love Freya at the moment, Elise, Maisie, and Elsie. They're all on my girl list for if this LO is pink, but we've pretty much decided on Zara...

Thanks I hope so too!! I like sienna - going to add that to my list Lola is our dogs name so that's out, and Layla is a bit too similar to Lola so would get confusing!! Xxx

Yep think they all are. That's not a bad thing, it's just that I liked being the only Naomi in my class growing up xxx

It's a difficult one! We have two girls names and one for a boy, all currently popular. But we like them and you never know, you might be lucky and skip the girls with the same name in the same class. Paige is nice though. My friend called her daughter Charlotte in Nov 2010 and she's at nursery with two other Charlotte's in her class. You just never know x

I understand how you feel, it see lots of kids with the same names and sometimes upto 3 of them in the same class!

We chose Madison for out first and it's out of the top 20 but in the top 40 I think, so not overly popular but I think in time it will increase. I've not met another Madison and people have commented that they love he name

I am now on the hunt for another girls name so far Mirren and Meredith are ones I like

Hmm yeh, unless you go for something really out there I guess you never know what is most popular in your local area. So tricky. Maybe I'm over thinking it all too much?! Xxx
