any1 tell me how things work cos a have forgotten since had me little boy 6 years ago a had me 12 week scan and when was there she asked me me nearest health centre so could get midwife appointment am now 14 weeks tommorow and not had any appointment through should a be getting bloods took before 15 weeks for spins bifida and that or can they be took at any point just cos someone told me this x

You shoudl have an appointemnt for about 16 weeks, that is when they do the spins bifida tests etc if you want them. then you dont have another one utnil 24 weeks or 25 and it was just a chat no blood taken or anything. You hardly have to see the midwife now, When I had my daughter 12 years ago it was well different. I used to have to go all the time and I'm sure they took alot more blood etc then as well.

thanks just phoned midwife number and asked when a will receive an appointment she said a gotta fone me nearest health centre meself book it am like why did they ask me at scan were me nearest health centre was shes like they dont explain it properly so a have to phone back tommorow at half 8 she will book me appointment glad a did or would still be waiting forever nhs are so different to when a had me little boy x

different places are slightly diff but its nothing to worrie about

i went docs told him i was preggers, then booked to see mw at about 8 weeks were they booked me in, then ad another app with mw at about 12 weeks were they took my bloods,
then i went hozzy for my 12 scan,
then its 20 week scan and you will see one of there mw at hozzy after scan,
and if all well you then only have to see mw again at around 25/26 weeks, and i think your last 8 weeks you have more regular appointments at some thing like every 2 weeks with your midwife

ive got a low lying placenta so i have to go bk in may for a scan at 32 weeks to see if it has shifted, but i think thats it really x x

but as i said alot of places are different x hope that helps

oh see I don't have to do that as all my appointments have been made for me since my booking in appointment, there is a section in the back of my book that she writes the next appointment in. I would be lost without it as I'm so unorganized and forgetful.

thanks all a just thought u would get appointment automactic after ur booking appointment with hospital midwife and after scan but guess all deifferent a was just worrying because me little boy was born with brain heomorage and they did say when went for me scan they werent exactly shure why happened last time and neither was aye because they didnt have me notes from when a had him 6 years ago and u would think they would try avoid that happening again if was me blood that was causing it cos always remeber her saying bak then she thought it was x
