can u hear babies hiccups? am worried

Baby has just had a mammoth hiccuping session it went on for about 15 mins but at the same time I could hear a gurgle sound like when ur tummy rumbles but it was only lasting a second and was happening every other second, and lasted as long as the hiccups did, just a bit worried as never had it before and it was quite loud, am hoping baby is ok?

My baby has lots of long lasting hiccups at least a few times a day, it drives me mad but never heard anything although I'm not as far on as you. Maybe the babys movements from the hiccups were interfering with your digestive system? Is baby still moving about lots? Maybe contact mw if your worried or it doesn't go away.

Thanks hon, it was so weird it really worried me it sounded like he was choking even tho I know it can't have been that, he must have been knocking my stomach or something, I've got a growth scan at 3 today so will check he's ok then and ask the consultant about it, baby seems to have moved a couple of times since so hes ok. I hate it when they do weird things it really puts the frighteners up you!!!!!

Good luck with the scan, let us know how it goes. Sounds like he's ok in there though, it does freak out out when it's something different, the worries never end!

Baby is fine thank goodness had a growth scan this aft he's spot on size wise and weight wise, they are estimating 7.5lbs at full term, he's head down too which is good!! Didn't get a pic as monkey kept hiding his face but we did get to see some pudgy hands and feet, a cheek an eye, an ear, a pair of balls lol (so defo still team blue!!!) and strangely a full head of hair that even the sonographer was surprised about as hair doesn't often show on a normal ultrasound!!
I'm so pleased he's ok and looking cute, such a relief to know he's cooking nicely and is not gonna be a monster size like my mw suggested!!!

Sounds really good, 7.5lb totally average so must be a relief! Can't believe they saw hair on him! Amazing!

I could never hear them but could always feel them and they got stronger as my pregnancy went on - especially near the end.

Hiccups are all good, babys been practising to breathe!

My buba has tons of hiccups, they even wake me up in mid of the night sometimes lol. He also has a taste for music and enjoys a good jigg, other day i heard my bump clicking lol. He must be a musician in the making hehe. Must of been blowin bubbles?? Hehe x
