can baby recognise their own picture?

Thomas was eating when he looked at his picture and started giving the picture big smiles do they know it is them they are looking at or did he think it was another kid in the room?

Well I suppose you cant ever be 100% sure but when I show my son his pics on his bedroom wall and the screen saver of him on the PC he points and gets all excited!

He squeals and his reaction is definately different to that of pics of other babies!

 

Damien loves seeing himself on webcam, thinks it the most halerious thing he has even seen!Dunno if he knows it's him though

hassan loves seeing himself in the mirror but i don't think he recognises himself - he loves to see other babies so maybe he thinks it's another baby!!! but it's hilarious!!

Not sure if they know or not but each night just before Jamie has his bath we always have a look in the mirror & he always has great big smiles & seems almost shy when he's looking at himself, its very cute.

Charlie laughs when he sees pictures of me and OH, it's as if he recognises his mummy and daddy, he also loves looking at himself in the mirror

i read that too... Dior talks to the mirrow in my roon for ages she shows the lil girl looking back at her in the mirror her teeth
then when i say "come on lets go down stairs she gets to the top of the stairs. looks back runs to the mirror gives herself a kiss and waves saying "bye bye"

Yep thats right. Seren loves looking at photos and is obsessed with mirrors. Her favourite toy at the moment is her Whoozit photo album, with photos of her and her friends in there
