Hi!

Okay we have been trying for a baby for a few months now and just seeing what happens, etc - well the answer is basically nothing, so now i have joined here for some support!! My dh is off the opinion that we should just let nature take its course, but i am needing to be a little more pro-active, so shush - don't tell him!!

I am quite irregular... last cycles have been 31, 25, 27 days long. My last period started on 1st June.

We have Bded lots, but don't really understand the whole ovulation, luneal?, implantation, etc dates.

At first i was going to play it cool and test around the beginning of July (thinking 31+ days, my longest cycle) if nothing had happened. Then i got a little impatient and thought i'll test around the 26th (thinking 25days my shortest cycle),

but now i am tearing my hair out and basically just need to Poas!! so my question is when is the absolutley earliest i could do it and be in with a chance of anything?? Anyone have any idea??

I of course have lot of symptoms (as i have done for the last few months!!), stomach ache, occasional headache, and a new one - feeling a little light headed when i stand, also have been constipated (not sure you needed to know that - but i'm clutching at straws!!)

Also i hear you girls talking of cheapies and frfr or something?? where would i buy cheapies from, what would you advice?

Anyhoo, thanks, i already feel calmer just by writing it all down!!

Best of luck to you ladies this month!

Hi hun. My last period also started 1st June and I'm going to test 23rd June, but even then I feel that may be too early, although I will be 9dpo (days past ovulation) and some women do get their bfp's that early. Although I will let you know that I ovulate earlier than "normal" so if you have ovulated in line with "normal" women, then you definitely won't get a positive test until around the 25th onwards. But even then it won't be guaranteed accuracy. The best thing you need to do if you're not pregnant this cycle is to use OPK's (ovulation predictor kits) so you know exactly when you have ovulated, and then you can count from then as to when you can test (dpos).

Cheapies are either OPK'S or HPT's (pregnancy tests) and most women get them from ebay. FR's are First Responses which can tell you up to 6 days before your period is due, but again, this assumes you have a regular 28 day cycle with a 14 day luteal phase (the time from ovulation to period due).

I hope some of this makes sense, I don't think I explain things very well (would you believe I'm a teacher haha!). Lemme know if any more questions and good luck hun! :dust:

Thanks so much for all of that. So helpful!! Think i will try to hold off til the 25th then!! Thankyou for clearing up all the terminologies and abbreviations - i feel so dense about these things!!

I will def have my fingers crossed for you on the 23rd,and sending you lots of babydust xxx
