Hi all, had an emergency C Section just over 3 weeks ago, and its been a bit uncomfortable, but not too bad until the past couple of days where all the area around the scar (above and below in where my bits are) feel really bruised like someone has beaten me up down there! Also noticed a hard lump has started forming just above it, but only on the right. Does this sound familiar to anyone or should I be getting to the docs??

Could just be scar tissue, I was prescribed anti inflammatories and the bulk of the sore scar tissue disappeared very quickly. Don't hang around, get it seen by a doctor, better to be safe, you've just had a major operation remember xx

Hey hun, I had my section 5 weeks ago and I still have a hard lump around my scar and it feels sore and a bit beaten up. Been told its all normal, but if ur worried I would contact ur doctor. I think it is because I am getting more active so my muscles are struggling a bit xx

Hi hun,

I would get it checked, As the scar is reasonable fresh I would have somebody look at it just in case. I had a hard lump and it was just a small infection which with some tablets from the doctors it all quickly cleaned up. It almost looked like that bit hadn't quite closed properly?

I think the sore and uncomfortable feeling can last a while. I had mine nearly a year ago now and I am still very aware of my scar being there, I find it hard to touch it sometimes!

Hope you heel up soon!

I had mine checked twice as it came open and was bleeding little so my knickers were sticking to it better to be safe than sorry x

It sounds similar to what mine was like but if your not sure always get it checked x

Thanks everyone, saw the doc this morning and he said its just a lot of bruising, and blood coming to the surface, also said it will probably ooze gunge at some point, really looking forward to that!! Feel better now its been looked at though x

Glad you got it seen to. Can be horrible when your not sure what's normal

So after I posted my last comment, I spent all of last night not being able to do anything like getting changed for bed, sitting, standing, anything, starting to think the doc just fobbed me off! Same again today, but getting redder and the lump getting harder, think a trip to the hospital might get things done quicker!

I would call and insist to be seen by somebody else and start its making you immobile. They may then send somebody out to the house.

Hope your ok, it can be really distressing not being able to do things

I would go in. It's sore enough without additional problems. Hope you get it sorted. X
