I'm 14+1 today so I guess I should head over to Tri 2 now.
I didn't want to leave without saying a big to you all for your advice and encouragement. I've found Tri 1 an incredibly scary time (not over yet either, still awaiting test results) and you've all been a great support.
I'll see you all in Tri 2
Things I've learned in Tri 1
You may get cramps and twinges and weird feelings and be convinced AF is going to come for the first few weeks. They are all normal feelings and you don't need to be concerned unless you have really bad pains and bleeding.
You will more than likely be on constant knicker watch and will wear white (or light coloured) knickers for at least the first 6 weeks.
Midwife appointments are boring. They just weigh and measure you and fill out tons of forms.
Its quite possible that nobody will even do a test to confirm you are actually pregnant. They just take your word for it.
Morning sickess is a stupid name. I have been sick all day for weeks, not just in the morning, and when I'm not being sick, I'm feeling it. There's not much you can do about it. Eating little and often does help a bit, as do travel sickness bands. But nothing will keep it down if it wants to come up.
You may not have any of the 'usual' symptoms such as sickness, painfull boobs, bloating and frequent peeing. Some women don't have symptoms. It's nothing to worry about, you're just lucky.
You may bloat up massively. I couldn't fasten any of my pre-pregnancy trousers by 6 weeks. They were really digging in to me and causing me lots of pain and trapped wind. I caved and got a pair of maternity trousers for work and a pair of jeans. Just the ones with little elasticated pannels and they've been a god send.
These are all just based on my experience and aren't medical advice.
