BT Broadband: Reduce monthly costs today

I was on a £26.99 a month unlimited broadband package. I just found out my wife is pregnant, so was looking for ways to reduce monthly costs.

I called BT and told them I wanted to reduce my monthly outgoings because of the current credit crisis (ok, I laid it on a bit). They came up with this idea;

£15.99 a month, 10GB download limit (more than enough for most), 6 months free!

I was pretty impressed as I was only about half way through my 18 month contract with them.

Apparantly it is a new deal they have brought in specially for anyone who is struggling with high payments. You have to sign up to a new 18 month contract, but hey, it's £11 cheaper a month and free for 6 months!

hell, they didnt tell me about this when I signed up a week or 2 back, they wacked me on a 18 month contract at 15.99 for the first 3 months then 20.99 a month after, with a donwload of 8GB which believe it or not my hubby has nearly used meaning we will now get charged more grrrr

cool at leaast the charge isnt to much, but I think I may give em a call and mention what you say in your first post see what they come up with!
