Breastfeeding and periods?

At the risk of sounding really thick... am I supposed to be having periods?

I only ask becasue I didn't think you did while breastfeeding, but at my 6 weeks check my doctor asked me if I'd had a period yet?

Also am paranoid as my DP had one of his "night episodes" at about 4weeks after and as much fun as it was we weren't careful

You may not get periods, but ..... you may. Some people do, and some don't.

And there are people on here who have become pg again while breastfeeding.

You might want to take a test just to be on the safe side hun.

Oh, and to put your mind at rest a little. I'm not breastfeeding, I have been having regular af's since Charlie was born, and we've not been using anything as we want another sooner rather than later. And I've not fell pg yet, so the chance of you being pg after one little slip (pardon the pun! ) are pretty slim.

OOOooo Amanda you devil!! You kept that 1 quiet!! We are doing the same as we would like them to be quite close in age. I am currently weaning Katy onto formula but I have been BFing her since birth. I haven't had AF yet & I'm not PG yet!!
