Right i have a question, i did the first breastfeed when bethany was born then decided to bottle feed. I am just wondering when is the last time i'd have a chance of breastfeeding if i changed my mind?? am i too late now?? i am still leaking small amounts of milk?

the longer you leave it the harder it will be but it will be possible for quite a while after. what you need to do is plenty of skin to skin, let your baby fd the breast, and let them suck as much as you can. offer them the breast before giving a bottle and again after. feed on demand also.

Thanks for the links, i think it is the closeness i'm looking for too, i just cant decide what i want to do, so dont want to mess my body around or bethany. i'm just really confused as to whether to try again or leave bethany on formula, which she seems happy with
Can you contact a local breast feeding support group? They usually have people who would come out to you. la leche league is one, but google and i'm sure you'd find more, or ask your midwife.
IMHO any breastfeeding is better than none...so it is worth a try. Would she suck if you put her to the breast when hungry?
