I'm 36+1 today. While I have some BH I don't really notice that many, nor are they overly bad.

But MW tells me my LO is engaging well (possibly fully engaged but she found it hard to tell due to looooooooooong baby size).

Anyways, did you all get lots of BH before going into labour? If so when did you really notice them, how far along sort of thing? Or not really got them at all?

I'm wondering if I'll start getting more of them as time passes now or if this will be pretty much it for me

I didn't get any at all with Callum or Caitlin... They say that you don't often feel them with first babies.

I had lots with Casey though, although I was told to expect to feel them more because of lack of fluid and also my uterus was irritable.

Not long to go now for you :cheer:

After not having any twinges or Braxton hicks throughout the majority of my pregnancy i started to get braxton hicks about five days before i had her :D
They were very obvious to me as some of them made me stop what i was doing. But once changing position or walking round a bit they went away.
Usually had them when i was sat on the sofa typing on the laptop. Didnt really get them whilst lying down.

I rarely got them so no they didn't increase up to labour as it were, I really liked them though :D Very best wishes

i hardly got any at all! i think i only got them since i went full term, even then they were so slight it was hard to tell (either that or it was me im hard as nails! )

I noticed them from about 34 weeks with my first but they were just a bit uncomfortable at first, not really painful. By 38 weeks though I had them quite regularly and getting progressively stronger. In fact a couple of times they got so strong and almost into a pattern that I thought 'this must be it!' Obviously it never was, but for the last week before I gave birth I had them regularly each day and they were pretty strong but then faded away to nothing. To be honest though they prepared me for birth really well cos you get to practice your breathing and positioning, and certainly got my uterus all toned up and ready cos my labour was relatively short for a first one - just 5 hours active labour.

I never noticed any with my first pregnancy.
Getting more this time around, but still not as many as some people

I get one every 20-30 minutes during the day AND night and they are ruddy uncomfortable. They've been getting progressively worse since about 35 weeks.

I will of course let you know if I go into labour any time soon and can therefore answer the second part of your question Sherry :rotfl:

  The way I am going it'll be weeks before I meet my LO. Even though engaging well. I seem to be getting the back aches on and off, the period type aches often and so on but nothing else :wall: Knowing my luck I'll go into labour with no warning, my plug will appear magically after that, waters won't break till the last minute and baby will be here and I'll be going
