Hello ladies!

Thought I'd write my story now as I have a few minutes handy  Gosh, I am so happy it's all over :rotfl:

So here goes... My due date was the 22nd October. I was absolutely positive that he'd be late so wasn't expecting anything. I had been having some strange period like pains but thought nothing of it. So I went to my friend's place, got home around 10 pm and went to bed. Woke up a few times after that to go for a wee. And then in my dream I thought I needed to go for a wee again :rotfl: Woke up and then BANG! my bed was wet :rotfl: I thought I had wet myself. Ran to the toilet, sat there for ages and then it kind of stopped. Went back to bed but they kept coming. I had no pains at that point. So I rang the hospital and they told me to go in. So I phoned my friend, she came to pick me up, she was more nervous than I was :rotfl: Guess I had no idea what to expect! So we got to the hospital around half 4 AM, I got changed and went to the labour room thingy. By that time I had irregular contractions every 5-7 minutes. They weren't too bad. They attached the machine so check the contractions etc. And then in an hours time the pains got REALLY bad. And I mean R E A L L Y bad :rotfl: I decided to have an epidural, otherwise I would've just died. Or so I thought. I don't even remember half the things, I was in so much pain. I tried to sleep in between the contractions but didn't get much. Other women screaming in other rooms didn't help either. It was mental, I really didn't wanna scream like that :rotfl: I found it easier to be quiet so I didn't make a sound. I could only lie on my right side, every other position was too damn painful. I couldn't walk and I couldn't talk. By something like 4 PM I thought I would not make it. I really did think I could not do it. I had really bad pains but didn't feel like pushing, baby was too far up as well although I had dilated to 10 CM ages and ages ago. So in the end another bunch of doctors came in and they wanted to use vacuum but it wouldn't attach to the baby's head so they just told me to push for life. And I did for a few minutes and out he came! It was amazing. First of all to have my precious baby on my tummy and within a second all the pain was gone. I have never felt so good and relieved in my life. So he was born at 6.04 PM (whole labour lasted 14 hours) weighing 8.3 lbs and 51 CM. Had a few tears so they had to fix me a little bit but that was nothing compared to the labour :rotfl: I must say though that he is the most gorgeous baby boy in the whole wide world

I have to say the whole labour was absolutely horrible but IT IS SO WORTH IT. There is nothing better than having your baby in your arms - I love being a mummy! xxxxxxxxxx
