bowel movements cause spotting? - TMI

For the last two mornings each time I have a poop i then have some pink spotting when I wipe. The spotting is defo not from my bum! Sorry for TMI this time of the morning.

It only seems to happen when I release my bowels though which is odd? By my calculations I'm about 5+6.

Has anyone else had this? And gone on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby?

Had some previous bleeding and currently have mild cramps and mild backache so I'm not feeling too confident my Lil bean is gona stick xxx

I had this in my last pregnancy. It's something to do with your cervix being extra sensitive and the pressure can cause spotting. Mention it to your midwife/GP though as they'll be able to make a better assessment, but try not to worry too much xx

Thanks Tigger. I'm going to call my doc tomorrow and see what he says. I'm sure he will just tell me wait it out till my scan whenever that may be. I'm still spotting a bit but more brown now. Still mild cramps. I'm going to see if he GP will refer me to the EPU for peace of mind xx

i had that last time. i started taking fybogel every day and it stopped (i was constipated i think)

i would go and see your doctor to check things just incase though

i had that too. i too took fibergel and it stopped.

Happened again this morning after spotting all day yesterday. Have an appointment at the EPU tomorrow x

I had this at 5 weeks 9 weeks and 11 weeks..got scans everytime just to make sure at early pregnancy clinic. Everythings fine now 13 weeks x

Was it just for one day each time Mamato1? Or was it over a few days? Never had any spotting with my first pregnancy so unsure about why this is happening. X

I didnt have it first time with my daughter, it lasted one day sometimes just one wipe after but i always foned epc to get checked x

Went to the EPU today and they did an internal scan. Saw my little peanut with a heartbeat. Sooooo relieved after all the spotting and bleeding I have previously had. No explanation though as to why it's happening I was just told that basically as long as the baby is OK they are not too concerned with the spotting.

So for now my mind is at ease and I am glad I went. Xx

I know I totally need to chill out now!! Lol. I was never this anxious with my last pregnancy I defo need to chill a bit.
