I've started buying a few bits and pieces for LO (mostly bodysuits) and I find them all so boring  . They are all really predictable, white or pastel colours with silly slogans. I know that kiddo will only wear them for a few months but it bothers me that all the manufacturers think everyone wants to dress their babies the same, in whites or off whites. I've been trying to find ones in unusual colours or a bit more funky like stripes or strange colour combinations but they are so hard to find. I found loads on US baby sites but they won't ship to the UK and surprisingly ebay isn't much better. Apart from H&M baby and baby Gap there don't seem to be any places where you can buy reasonably priced funky baby bodysuits. If anyone knows of any shops that have more original designs than the standard whites or blue for boy, pink for girl please let me know. Cheers and Merry Christmas/festivities!

I agree with u Dinski, i didnt want my boy in girly pastels and whites so my SIL bought over some cartoony winnie the pooh stripey suits from Spain!!
m&s had some vibrant blue ones tho, but i think they just keep them white and pastelly for the newborn baby innocence!!

could try home dyeing some plain white ones if u fancy some thing to do??

I felt EXACTLY the same as you, and hated all the insipid baby blues ad beiges that were on offer when I started shopping. I found a few bright bits in Next and H and M (as you've discovered) is fab.

Ironically, after Stanley arrived I found blue really was his colour and he never really wore the bright bits after all! I love him in pale blue stripes now :D

This site is great for colours although they are still slogan tees

They advertise on-site as well so I'm sure LauraB would appreciate you clicking through here :D

And you'll pay a bit more but this site has some funky brights

Thanks Minxy

Some of these clothes look great!

The slogans are quite funny but not sure if I want my baby in a 'poop machine' romper!!!!

do u kno anyone who can make clothes 4 u? i saw a kid in sainsburys today with a cute bodysuit on with ears on it, like a little teddy-bear, and if i cant find one when my baby's born i'll get someone to make me one!

Trixipaws, you can find lots of little outfits like that on ebay. Just go to the 'baby clothing' category and then type in bear ears or outfit or something. I've seen loads, tigger, bunny, snowman so you should be able to find something similar. Good luck!

I got some off ebay that were bright orange and yellow but they origonally came from boots so might be worth a look in the bigger boots

Newborn clothes are so boring, all pastels and Leorah still is in newborn size as the jump to 0-3 months is huge!! Once they can wear 0-3 months there is so much more choice and you can get funky dungarees and stuff. I actually got some red babygrows in a pack from Primark, I love babies in bright colours.
