Anyone else getting really bored of looking for baby names? I know it's meant to be a fun part of pregnancy but I get fed up before I get through the 'A' names! I don't even want to look anymore! We do have a few names but almost feel I should keep looking for more options!

Totally with u on that. We can only agree on one boy and girls name anyway so I think our lists finished already :eh:

i only had a boys name whilst pg even tho i was on team yellow. so im so glad Zak arrived ! lol ! go with the name u love and dont think u have to come up with loads. x what names have u got already both of u ? ive already picked names for number 2 LO x

we read through a whole book of names. A whole book! And most of the names were completely ridiculous. I can't do this anymore - we're going to have a break from choosing names for some time now.

Haha, I hear you babe! Got the boy name set, but no clue for a girl and we're team yellow so I wanted to have a definite one of each. I'm same as I.Love, I give up for now, I reckon we'll just end up waiting til baby's born and if it's a girl, figure it out then!

i felt like this a couple of months ago and gave up looking and thought id start again nearer the time. now its only 2weeks at the most until baby is here and i still dont have a name for him! I have NO idea what he will be called and cant bring myself to start looking thorugh the books again! x

I had a dream whilst ttc where I had a little girl called rebecca. So I decided it woz a sign and if its a girl then rebecca will be her name.

I got fed up with this too, about 2/3 weeks ago spent the whole w/end looking through them with not even 1 that I like. I'm aiming to have 2 names of each sex. Last time we had only picked a girls name a week before she came

Glad I'm not the only one bored! Think I'll take your advice leave it now for a while, maybe a name will suddenly pop up when we least expect it!

Im bored and fed up of looking because we can't agree on any, we know we are having a boy aswell but stil can't make a decision! grrr!

I've been making an effort to listen out more for names being mentioned, or on the telly/in the street just to get some ideas. It seems like everyone has a good list of names before they fall pregnant but i've never been imaginative enough in that way, I've just never had any ideal names. My OH picked my wee girls name.

:oooo:

If you had found names that jumped out at you, you may not be bored with it , just not so much fun if your search is not giving you any answers.

Try looking for names over 26 different nights , one for every letter of the alphabet, and your short list to narrow down is done one month later.

Don't leave it ladies to decide on one of the names when the baby arrives, as my kids love to know what their names would be if they were a girl, or if my daughther had been a boy , and so do I , couldn't leave it open and not know what they would be called - example below from my kids

My son Rhys Daniel would have been called Tegan if a girl
My son Toby Robin would have been called Robyn if a girl that's why we used it for his middle name!
My Daugther Briony Leigh would have been called Devon if she was a girl
My son Devon Rory ( we kept this name from 9 years earlier !) would have been called Marina Penny if a girl

I think you see what I mean - good luck

Thats some excellent tips JJ mum - i'm defo gonna start the alphabet one. I was gonna open a wee word document and just type in the ones I like, whenever I come accross them, then go through them all at the end and narrow it down.

I've also been having problems getting a serious convo out of OH about names, he always starts taking the p*** making up crappy names ect. I keep telling him i'm being serious but he never comes up with anything. He picked my daughters name but that was at 38 weeks and i'm not leaving it that long again.

That is a good idea jjmum! Makes it less boring! My hubby does look for names when I make him but then he finds welsh names that I can never pronounce let alone spell or spends ages finding the meaning of a name and if he dont like the meaning the name is out however it sounds!

I have been looking at the credits at the end of programmes/films for inspiration. To no avail though :eh:

I have given up as well, it does get me every time whe someone asks me about the name. We have couple of options, but not telling anyone
