Hi all, I'm new to this forum. So firstly congratulations everyone on your pregnancies! 😀
I had my first bloods taken a week ago, feel a bit anxious about the results. How long did you have to wait for results? Im tempted to phone the midwifes to ask if they have my results but dont know if its too soon to be bothering them!
Many thanks 😊

My understanding is that they discuss them at your next appointment unless they need to see you sooner. I had mine taken 2 weeks ago and my next appointment is in 2 weeks time for my 12 week scan so I would think they would discuss my blood results then.

Ok thanks. I have my scan next week so I guess it will be discused then. Im hoping if there had been anything wrong they would contact me before that though! Thanks for your reply.

I had my booking appointment last week and the midwife told me that they would only contact me if they found something wrong with my blood or urine results x

My midwife was kind enough to offer to contact me either way, and rang within a week to say all was clear and normal.
If you've not heard anything, I'd agree with the others - no news is good news when it comes to things like this. Of there was something of concern they'd be contacting you for follow up actions x

My midwife said she would only contact if there was an issue. She phoned about a week later to let me know that I’m rhesus negative! I knew as soon as she said who she was there was a problem as she said if all well would just discuss at next appointment. Luckily it’s my first pregnancy and there is way less of a risk with first - as long as get extra injections you need and all that jazz of course.
