got all of us ready to pop out... Hobbled down the stairs to the car and the blooming battery is flat!!!!! it was only 2 weeks ago that we got a huge screw in the side of our tire and we ended up buying a new set of tires (long story, but we had the wrong size tires for the car before and we where planning to get a new set after xmas).

Halfords want £80 for a new battery!!! luckly Adam has managed to find someone that has one for £30!!!

Rahh!!! why do all the unwanted expenses always happen at christmas! All the money we have saved for xmas seems to be draining away

Plus its raining so i don't really fancy walking anywhere :(

(is it 'safe' to change a car battery in light rain?).

yup, itll be fine to change in rain, mostly covered by the bonnet anyway lol

cheers for the reply. Adam called his breakdown cover and they have said they see no reason why they can't change the battery for us - adam really isn't 100% sure what he is doing. Glad we have home breakdown now!!
