Birthing ball

Hi Everyone.

I would like to get a birthing ball but have been looking around and I haven't been able to find one that is the right size for me. They all seem to be 65cm diameter which is not suitable for someone of my height(5'1) I need to get a 55cm one but all shops seem to only have 65cm ones. Anyone else needed to get a 55cm? If so where did u get it from?

Have you tried typing "birthing ball 55cm" into google? If you dont get any luck with that type gym ball 55cm in coz you can get them online and I think they're the same thing. The ball I have is a gym ball and I used it throughout my last pregnancy and I'm gonna use it again this time.

ive got one but havnt needed to use it cause my babys not breech but might use it to lose weight if i need too. bumps all baby so dont think i will need too

The smallest one I have seen is the 65cm. Have you tried all the sports shops? Maybe they could order one in for you. xxx

When I had my daughter she was back to back which made the labour more painful than it needed to be so with my last one I sat on the ball everyday leaning forward and rotating my hips. The midwife said it would help to keep the pelvis open and the baby in a better position for labour.

I started when I was about 5 months. This time I havent started sitting on it yet but I've blown it up ready. Btw I'm 19 weeks pregnant.

Ebay - there are loads on there and the 55cm ones seem to be the bargain ones because most people want the 65cm ones.
