Hi

I hope that someone can help me. I am 7 weeks pregnant and i want to take more than the standard six months of maternity leave off from work.

My husband stays at home and looks after the children. He is due to have an operation on his arm which would leave it in plaster up till christmas. (or longer)

What benefits would be allowed if i took longer maternity leave. We get Working families and family tax credit at the moment.
would this stop?

I'm not sure if I can answer your questin but do you have a local Jobcentre? They will be able to guide you towards the right department for checking out what you are entitled to benifits wise.
