I've been lurking around for a while (how ominous does that sound?) getting advice from the forums, and just recently started posting - so I thought it was about time I introduced myself too!
I'm from Hull, and I'm Mum to Sprog, who is six weeks old today. He turned up 11 days late, after a 43 hour labour, forceps delivery, 3 lots of stitches (ouch) and a slightly late realisation that he'd turned back to back.
He was, beyond a doubt, worth every single minute. I'd not been around babies before him, and I was a little bit worried about my maternal instinct, knowing what to do for him, and how steep the learning curve would be. Now that he's here, I spend the days being amazed by everything he seems to learn, and all of his developments. He's been smiling for nearly 2 weeks now, and has just started making noises in "conversation" - though he also now has colic, so we're having a lot of crying too!
