Before I was pregnant I used to love eating these raw, straight out the bag! I've heard you shouldn't do this as there's a risk of food poisoning? Does anyone know if this is true? Got a mad craving for them so got a bag...it does say on it "washed and ready to cook" :wall:

I know with bags of salad that says washed and ready to eat, you still need to wash it. Something to do with the product they wash it in, i think (ie no just water). If I were you, I'd just wash it again and it should be fine.

yes, wash em again. Even clean, prepared raw veggies can have e coli hanging about on them, especially if they have been in the bag for a few days in the shop...

But I agree...wash them, eat em, love em....very good for you.

Wish I had your good habits...(dreams about creme eggs) :rotfl:
