Did anyone else see the lady give birth on TV this morning?


Made me cry (not that it is hard to do at the mo!)

I saw it too!!You couldn't see much Jaidy,the camera filmed from the back/side,the presenter Nadia was up front describing what she could see.It didn't seem like the poor woman had the energy to push,the consultant said it'll be here any second,and she seemed to be there for ages - poor little baby passed meconium inside Mum,and also got shoulders stuck,but when they came back she was fine,Mum was so tired though.

I wondered what Channel 5 made of it - Nadia made it so clear that it was the first live natural birth ever to be televised,a scoop for the Beeb!!

poor woman was asleep though the gaps in the contractions! And her hubby was away dropping their other child with someone to look after them.

My OH is NOT leaving my side once during the whole thing!!

Jaidy - apart from her looking very tired, I wouldn't say it looked 'bad'. although, as bagpuss said, you didn't see the interesting end!

Still, imagine growing up saying from the moment you where born, you where a tv star! lol

i saw it , was gonna post about it this morning, was great watching it as i didnt get chance to see a proper birth with madi but have to say that c-sections seem so much easier, even hev said she's glad she had a section instead of natural

was the kid ok, i saw it until they cut to the other presenter but didnt see the rest

Yeah,baby was fine,the end shots where all of Mom and baby,and Dad too - he turned up at the end!!........hey,was that a piccy of Madison on Channel 5s birth night live???I hope it was 'cos I shouted "ooo I know that baby!!!"to my OH,like I really knew you all!!!

I watched it too, made me cry too- me and my husband were huddled up on the sofa crying together. Just brings back memories of the birth of my Charlie, although l had a c-section in the end but l pushed for hours beforehand!!
