Bad stomach pain

Hey hun,

I would recommend giving your midwife a call...

Its probably all normal, stretching as baby is getting bigger etc however its best to get some reassurance from the midwife.

Plus if its something you'll be glad you consulted her.

They are always happy to reassure hun xxxx

Oh mate! I agree that you should just give your MW a quick call to put your mind at ease.

Let us know how you get on.

Hope you feel better soon.

Aww hun, give the MW a call just to put your mind at rest x Hope you feel better x

You might be brewing a little urine infection. If you can't get hold of your midwife, then go to your GP and ask them to do a test. It probably is nothing, but it is definitely worth getting it checked out.

Little update

I called the midwife and got redirected from her to the pregnancy unit, then gynae unit and finally the docs. The doc squeezed me in and did a urine test, took my blood pressure and listened to the heartbeat. Everything was normal, she thought it could be stretching or a pulled muscle but how I could have done that in my sleep?!

Anyway it still hurts but not as much and I have my scan still booked in for the morning.

Thanks everybody, I've never been so constantly worried before as I have been through this preg. I feel silly for worrying so much.

Fingers crossed for the morning

aww poor you, glad it seems to have put your mind at rest though

Good luck tomorrow, are you going to find out the sex????

glad you got it checked out hun and all is ok - always best to ring mw to get reasurrance, all the best for tomorrow will be thinking of you. let us know pink or blue xxx

It's not silly, it's perfectly normal! I've lost count of the number of times I've convinced myself there's something seriously wrong for no apparent reason - then I'm too scared to use the doppler in case I can't find a heartbeat :wall: Flipper's kicking away like a footballer today though, which is very reassuring!

I'm sure everything's fine, but good luck for tomorrow - mine's on Thursday, so excited/nervous!

Can't wait for mine to start kicking. Chopsie post a final bump pic so we can guess pink or blue x

i think chopsie was going to stay team green!!

I'm going to take one this afternoon - I'm hopefully staying green though, but I'd still like to know everyone's thoughts!

I guessed pink for you on the other thread

As for the kicks - I felt the first proper one yesterday - I was beginning to wonder if I ever would! It'll happen soon enough - and like my friend said to me, once you've had a foot stuck in your ribs half the day, you'll look back fondly on the days before bubba made his presence felt!

I don't know, I always thought that came much later on than this so I hadn't thought of it x

Do Braxton Hicks hurt then? I didn't think they did

More pain to look forward to! :wall:

mostly no but ive had a few bad ones with Thomas were i was unable to move :(
i think you can get them anytime from about 16 weeks
xx

I wonder why the doc never suggested that might be it. Sometimes I think doctors know bugger all about pregnancies and fertility.

Yes I am going to find out the sex, if baby is playing ball anyways! x
