Is anyone else suffering from a bad back? Ive had this problem for nearly a month now and trying to do even the sallest of things is proving impossible.

I got one of these support belts but its not really doing much good. Any suggestions anyone?

yeah ive been suffering a while now, saw dr the other day and hes diagnosed me with sciatica, so im starting physio next week.

go see your dr, maybe they can give u some stronger pain killers?

mine is terrible....been like this since the early days. a bath always helps and a hot water bottle

Yeah me too :( I am actually propped up with a load of cushions on the sofa as we speak.

I had sciatica during my last pg and it was that bad, for me it was worse than actual labour. This started over the weekend and I can hardly move but isn't as bad as last time.

Seeing midwife on mon, so hopefully she might be able to do something but to be honest last time they just told me to take paracetemol.

Hope you get something sorted soon, sorry I couldn't give you much advice but I can sympathise with you

I can't get in the bath at the moment as I can lay properly and I'm scared I can't get out, hubby would have to come with a crowbar to get me out :D

I went to the docotrs about 3 weeks ago when it first started, and she said that physio was out of the question and all i could take was paracetamol

Ive been grinning & bearing it until now but dont think i can take much more of this. Even going to the toilet is becoming a mission

maybe ask to see a different dr at ur surgery? last pregnancy i suffered too but my dr at the time just kept saying "your pregnant, its gonna cause you pain" grrrr all men too, ignorant Tw*ts

Poor you :(

I've not had any back pain in pregnacy but I had a herniated disk that I have to have operated on last year -

The best things I found for helping the pain was a chiropractor (sp!) and a tens machine from boots - you can clip it on your belt so it works while your moving around and I found it really helped.

Hope you feel better soon, a sore back can really take it out of you

Typical  im going to call doctors in the morning and make another appointment, see what a different doc says, hopefully he/she will have some better suggestions, so far self help only includes getting a tens machine as foxred suggested.

ask if theres a female dr u can see?

The last one i saw was female, but wasnt any help at all. it seems that this doctors surgery doesnt take anything seriously until you have been back 2-3 times complaining about the same thing. i'll try my luck tomorrow, it worth a shot :D

Yes, my lower back is really tense if I stand in a queue or waiting for the bus even for just a few minutes... sometimes there's no right position to lie in or no way to stretch to make it feel better :?
