Back from hospital...

I just got back from my first ante-natal appointment at the hospital. And finally I can stop worrying if i am or not really pregnant! I saw our little one, and altho the dr / midwife (not sure who she was?) had me a little concerned at first (she had to call in a consultant to confirm the dates cos she thought i was not as far gone as i thought) it was confirmed that i am about 8wks+4 which works out to the date of my lmp. When the doc came in he told me to get booked in for the next scan at 12 weeks, 4 weeks time, and said that by then we'll be able to see more etc, but he said the heart was beating and as soon as i heard that i was so happy! Poor old hubby didnt really know what he was supposed to be seeing or looking at! I do feel better now that i've seen it, and cant wait to get to the next scan!

Oh yeah can I ask if your appointment was running on time... I know im going to a different hospital etc, im just worrying that I have to drink a pint of water an hour b4 the scan as Im weeing for england and im scared if its going to be delayed I will end up having an accident!

we went up to the hospital earlier cos hubby had to have his foot xrayed, and i was starting to need to pee at about 10.15! by the time i did get seen (my appt was at 11) it was about 11.30, possibly 11.45 - they didnt have a clock anywhere! - i was nearly at bursting point! the strange thing was is that all i had to drink before i left was a cup of tea and four swallows of squash on the way to the hospital! and i peed about three times before we left! if id drunk more i prob would have wet myself when she was doing the scan!!!!!!

Im praying it wont be too late then cause once I need to go I have to go and they ave said on my letter that if I dont have the water in my bladder then I might have to come back for a re scan

Glad it went well for you....its SO exciting isnt it!!!!!!!!!!

Roll on the next 7 weeks for me, I dont like to wish time away but cannot WAIT to get to 12 weeks

i can't wait for our scan becasue untill then i won't be able to settle and enjoy this prengancy as much as i want to, although i am feeling positive so i'm enjoying it but the thought is always there, i'm trying to keep busy atm to keep my mind off it and hopefully it'll go fast then

2 sleeps till my scan!!! so excited and worried that they arent going to find a baby in there and im just fat and not pregnant
