Baby's head engaged 2-3/5

Morning Mummies

Been to my MW app this morning, and my bump was only measuring 32cm (I'm 35+5)....then MW said, but don't let that worry you - its because her head is 2-3/5th engaged oh ok then!!

What does this actually mean? I know it means she's moving down into my pelvis (although naughtily back to front so I've got to try to get her to turn as we're back to back)....but does this mean things will happen soon? Or in the next 2-3 weeks/ 3-4 weeks? Or does it have no relevance at all on time?

I just wondered if any of you mummies had any experiences you could share with what the timescale was between head engaging and when you gave birth?

i think it means that... imagine your hand then the baby's head is 2-3 fingers down if that makes sense so not long to go til full engaged

Beign3 5ths means your Lo head is 2 5ths in your pelvis and that there is 3 5ths still above. You dont have to be fully engaged to go into labour. my little boy was only 4 5ths engaged when i started. unortunately this ment the first stage of labour lasted a while as his head had futher down to travel

As everyone else said.... it's still got 3/5th to go.... but remember it can pop up and down all the time.... just cause it's at 2/5 doesnt mean it'll got 3/5 next, your LO might move up again and be 1/5. Confussing I know... but LO is having a rood ol' rumage about in there!

Zac's head never fully engaged until about half hour before he was born!!

Just goes to show 'engagement' doesnt mean everything, it will happen when bubs is ready babe!
